2014 Annual Diversity Award Announcement
The UW-Whitewater campus community is invited to submit nominations/applications for the State Council on Affirmative Action 15th Annual Diversity Award Program for 2014. The Ann Lydecker Educational Diversity Award recognizes exceptional efforts made by University of Wisconsin campuses for their recruitment and retention of a diverse student and faculty workforce as evidenced by data showing improved outcomes.
UW-Whitewater received recognition for the Ann Lydecker Educational Diversity Award and the Annual Diversity Award for the following programs:
• 2012 - Future Teacher Program, College of Education and Professional Studies
• 2011 - Pathway for Success Program, Admissions Office, Academic Advising and Exploration Center, and Multicultural Affairs and Student Success
• 2010 - Summer Business Institute, College of Business and Economics
• 2008 - King/Chavez Program, Multicultural Affairs and Student Success
• 2006 - McNair Scholars Program, Multicultural Affairs and Student Success

The council established the diversity award program in 2000 to recognize the achievements of outstanding affirmative action and equal employment opportunity practices among state agencies and the University of Wisconsin system campuses.
Please review the attached guidelines for details regarding 2014 Ann Lydecker Educational Diversity award application and selection criteria. The award presentation is scheduled for Oct. 23, at the Senate Parlor, State Capitol in Madison beginning at 1 p.m.

Applications should be submitted electronically to Elizabeth Ogunsola, Office of Affirmative Action and Diversity, email@example.com by 12 noon, Monday, Aug. 25, for review by the chancellor’s office in order to meet the State Council on Affirmative Action's deadline of Friday, Aug. 29.
