The SECC (Statewide Employees Combined Campaign) is a workplace giving campaign that offers you the opportunity to donate to one or more of the more than 400 charities that participate via payroll contribution, check or cash. Giving through your work place is as easy as ever! The campaign runs through Nov. 28.
To those of you who have already given, thank you. If you haven’t made a pledge, there is no better time than now. Not sure how much to give? See below for examples of what several dollars a month can do:
- $2 per month provides supplies for an Earth Day project—planting a tree or buying gloves for volunteers who do trail clean-up (Community Shares).
- $5 per month supports an educational class visit and tour of the historic Leopold Shack and Leopold Center, recognized as one of the greenest buildings in the world. (EarthShare Wisconsin).
- $10 per month provides lifesaving medications for 500 new mothers in Bangladesh (Neighbor to Nation).
