ICIT is implementing a new wireless network authentication system this week that will improve the overall efficiency and security of our campus network.
Beginning today, Wednesday, May 20, iPhones, iPads and iPods that are connected to campus Wi-Fi, and associated with student Net-IDs, will be transitioned to the new authentication system. If you find that your device is connected to the campus Wi-Fi but you are unable to get new emails or use network-based applications, open the Safari web browser on your device and go to any webpage not affiliated with UW-Whitewater. You will then be redirected to a setup page (this can take up to one minute) that will walk you through the registration process. Once completed, your device will be able to access the internet again.
Android devices will be switched to the new system later this summer. Communications will be sent to the campus community prior to transitioning Android devices to the news system.
