Every year, employees who receive State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance are eligible to receive a $150 gift card for completing a biometric screening and an online health assessment. Starting in 2017 the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program $150 Well Wisconsin incentive will be administered by StayWell. To receive your $150 stipend, you will first need to create a StayWell account. On campus biometric screening will be held in the University Center room 275 (Old Main Ballroom) on Tuesday, Oct 3, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. (few appointments remain) and Wednesday, Oct 4: from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you are unable to attend an on campus biometric screening, you can work with your primary healthcare provider to complete the testing and paperwork to receive the incentive. -- Flu Shot Clinic --
The Well Wisconsin Program is offering workplace flu shot clinics on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 8 to 10 a.m. in University Center, room 68A. Flu shots are free and voluntary for all site employees who are enrolled in the State of Wisconsin or Wisconsin Public Employers Group Health Insurance Programs. Pre-registration required. No walk-ins, cash payments or insurance payments accepted. To register for your flu shot appointment, log into the StayWell wellness portal at [link destination="http://wellwisconsin.staywell.com" text="http://wellwisconsin.staywell.com"] and select Flu Shot Clinics under the Programs tab.
Flu shots are also available at University Health and Counseling Services at a cost of $10 for students and $15 for staff. For additional information, contact wellwisconsin@staywell.com.
-- Rock the Walk Challenge --
Rock the Walk is a free six-week exercise challenge that encourages all participants to log at least 150 minutes of exercise each week, read a brief piece of education/health information, and take a short quiz or survey. It should take participants no more than 5-10 minutes to complete these tasks weekly to be eligible for weekly prizes. The challenge will take place Sept. 19 through Oct. 31st. UW-Whitewater community members are welcome to join under the Working For Whitewater’s Wellness (W3) or Whitewater team.
