A celebration of life will be held for Savannah Marie Sloniker (Polich), 20, who passed away on Oct. 13, 2018. Savannah was a junior at UW-Whitewater, majoring in early childhood education, and a member of the campus chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi. She was passionate about student teaching and looked forward to interacting with children of all ages.
Services will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Pinewood Supper Club, 1208 Half Moon Lake Dr. in Mosinee, Wisconsin. Open visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Office of Student Affairs is providing transportation for students who wish to attend Savannah’s service, departing from the Visitor Center at 9:45 a.m. There will be limited seating and for those who choose to travel, please arrive 15-20 minutes before departure to allow time for release paperwork. Departure from Mosinee is scheduled for 3 p.m., with a return to UW-Whitewater around 6 p.m.
The UW-Whitewater Flag will fly at half-staff on Sunday, Oct. 21, in Savannah’s memory. Counseling services are available at University Health and Counseling Services located in the Ambrose Health Center and appointments may be made by calling 262-472-1305.
