Message from the Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer
Dear Campus Colleagues,
Many thanks to those who attended our Affinity Group Sessions for International Faculty and Staff and Faculty and Staff of Color. It was the intent of those gatherings to offer support and camaraderie to those who attended, as well as discovering where others of like ancestry and ethnicity may work on campus.
Based on your feedback, I am inviting you to attend a follow-up discussion from our initial meeting – a town hall meeting on Wednesday, April 17, at 3 p.m. in the Timmerman Auditorium in Hyland Hall. Please come prepared to discuss measures we can employ at the university to strengthen and retain our diverse, dynamic faculty and staff. I would also like to hear at this time any concerns that you may have that may be specific to a particular segment of our university community.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 272-472-1910 or email at EDI@uww.edu. As we continue to move onward to a more welcoming and inclusive campus, your input and participation is greatly appreciated.
Kenny E. Yarbrough, Th.D., CDP Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Office of the Chancellor
