Current student driver authorizations will expire on May 31, 2019. If you have a student employee currently authorized and plan to employ them over summer or next academic year, you may request to have their authorization extended by emailing your request to email@example.com no later than May 31, 2019. Once an authorization expires, it purges from the portal and a new Vehicle Use Agreement will need to be submitted.
Beginning Fall 2019 we will be authorizing students with a Wisconsin driver’s license through Oct. 10 of the following academic year as the Fleet Portal System will send an email notice two weeks prior to expiration. This will allow Risk Management to extend authorization prior to expiration, providing better customer service when students have returned for the fall semester.
If the student holds an out-of-state driver’s license, they will need to complete a notarized statement of their driver record annually before extension is granted.
