Leadership Academy for employees
This is a reminder to nominate a person who demonstrates aptitude for leadership to attend the Leadership Academy! All employees are welcome to nominate themselves, but they must have the approval of their immediate supervisors. The academy welcomes all levels of university employees, entry-level, management, etc.
The Leadership Academy will now have nine full-day sessions throughout the academic year. Participants will engage with people from different departments to work on projects, attend presentations/workshops to grow leadership skills, and be paired with a mentor through this program. They will also learn coaching and communication skills to inspire those they will lead, learn decision-making skills, and have many other opportunities to help them grow into a strong UW-Whitewater leader.
The cost per participant will be charged to the department budget, and also has been approved to be paid through the Professional Development Fund. If neither option is eligible for the nominee’s department, please contact Gina Elmore at elmoreg@uww.edu for other options.
Please note that a stipend of $500 will be given to each person selected to participate in the program which will be paid following the successful completion of the program.
