Campus-wide cookout and other events Aug. 27
Everyone is invited to the campus-wide cookout, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the James R. Connor University Center. The event will include food, music and an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues as we kick off the start of the academic year.
Chancellor Dwight C. Watson will be in the Old Main Ballroom to meet and greet members of the Warhawk community.
Prior to the cookout, Interim Provost Greg Cook will hold the annual Fall Forum. A meet and greet will be held from 9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Hyland Hall atrium with the presentation beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Timmerman Auditorium. Chancellor Watson will offer remarks as well. This event is open to all faculty and staff.
At 1:45 p.m. "The Defamation Experience" will be presented at the Young Auditorium. This event is open to all employees and is sponsored by the Chief Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer and the Office of Human Resources and Diversity.
The annual state of the university address will be scheduled for later this academic year.
