Workplace Giving Campaign
Dear Warhawks,
The UW-Whitewater United Way Workplace Giving Campaign 2019 is now underway. United Way works with local programs and organizations to support the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our communities. In 2018, UW-Whitewater contributed a total of $9,290 of the $274,004 raised in our area. Our contributions directly supported 1,195 local people through the partner agencies of the United Way of Jefferson and North Walworth Counties (UWJNWC). Through a generous grant from the Whitewater Community Foundation, the UWJNWC also expanded its Ride United program, a service that provides free transportation to and from food pantries for low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals.
Thank you very much to those who donated in 2018 and in previous campaigns. Our goal for the 2019 campaign is to increase our contribution to $12,000. We hope you will continue to support United Way’s important work to strengthen our communities and create opportunities for all. For those who are new to the United Way Workplace Campaign, you can elect to give through monthly payroll contributions, check, or online at http://uwjnwc.com/. Any new gift of at least $25, or a gift that has increased from the most recent gift by at least $25, or any gift over $250 automatically enters you into the technology drawing. Four entries will be drawn for one of four prizes: a laptop, an iPad, a high definition TV, and a Kindle Fire. Each contributor will also be entered into drawings for a signed Packers football, a $50.00 gift certificate from The Book Teller, a $50.00 gift certificate from Young Auditorium, and a pair of season tickets for Warhawks Men’s Basketball. In addition, donating by Friday, Oct. 18, enters you into the drawing for a free UW-Whitewater parking permit for August 2020 – July 2021.
You will receive a pledge form early next week, or you can print one >>
The UWJNWC annual report is also available online and details how our contributions are allocated in Jefferson and North Walworth Counties. Please feel free to email any questions about our United Way Workplace Giving Campaign to burtonk@uww.edu.
Please return your completed pledge form to Kristen Burton at CoBE Business Outreach, Hyland Hall 4300J. We will submit the pledge forms to the United Way director at the end of the campaign. You will receive a copy of your form for your records, or you can keep the pink copy if you received the three-part form.
Thank you again for your generosity.
Best regards,
Kristen Burton Dwight C. Watson
