Please see the message below from UW System on the Administrative Transformation Program:
Colleagues,
We are pleased to share with you that the University of Wisconsin System is embarking on a redesign of our human resources, finance, and research administration systems and services through the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP). This will be a multi-year endeavor and a joint effort of UW-Madison and the UW System. Preplanning work began at UW-Madison and UW System Administration, and is now underway for all UW campuses.
Our vision for this program is simple: we seek to establish outstanding administrative services and ensure an exceptional experience working at UW System and that will enable us to support the excellence of the University of Wisconsin System’s research, teaching, outreach, and public service. We will need your ideas and input to accomplish this. You can sign up to learn more about engagement opportunities and program updates on the ATP website.
The program will eventually lead to the selection of cloud-based software to enable essential administrative functions and improve our ability to focus more on the UW System’s core missions. To prepare for this change, we will be working together to redefine functions, streamline and standardize business processes, and improve access to important data.
The ATP supports UW System’s 2020FWD: Moving Wisconsin and the World Forward vision of inspiring, connecting, and convening with the people, businesses, and communities of the State of Wisconsin by improving UW System’s operational excellence. The ATP will advance the 2020FWD vision of vigorously pursuing transparent, efficient, and effective operational practices.
Over the past several months, teams from UW System and UW-Madison have visited six different higher education institutions already in the process of moving to cloud-based platforms, where we had the opportunity to learn from similar transformations and cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning implementation projects.
The Administrative Transformation Program website will be a valuable resource for following the progress of ATP, learning how it will improve work environments across our campuses and institutions, and finding opportunities to get involved.
Thank you for your commitment to the UW System and UW-Madison and for your support.
