Update from the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD)
We would like to thank you in advance for keeping our students with disabilities in mind during this unprecedented health crisis. Please be aware that students with disabilities using accommodations may need some additional flexibility in scheduling exams, assignment formats, and due dates while we shift to the period of alternative instruction.
CSD has been compiling information and resources regarding accessibility and online education. You can access these materials on our new Canvas Resource Site: “CSD Faculty/Staff Resource.” We will continue updating this site as we get updates. Information on self-enrolling in this resource can be found below.
If you have any questions about how your courses can be made accessible for students who have self-disclosed, feel free to contact the student’s Disability Service Coordinator (listed on their accommodation letter, or available in the Faculty Portal: https://cascade.accessiblelearning.com/UWW/instructor/).
CSD will be open and staff available remotely during this time. Staff availability may be impacted. Feel free to reach out for more information. Our general email firstname.lastname@example.org and our main phone number, 262-472-4711, will be checked regularly.
CSD Canvas Resource Available for Self-Enrollment
CSD has created a Canvas page to help faculty and staff. On this site, you can explore topics related to working with students with disabilities and the CSD, as well as access additional resources.
We have also added information regarding providing access to all your students during COVID-19. This will be updated throughout the semester.
You will need to self-enroll in this Canvas resource to access the information. To do this, please click on this link to enroll: https://uwwtw.instructure.com/enroll/6XMN98
