Message from Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer
UW-Whitewater Campus Members:
As a country, we are experiencing unprecedented times. Living through a global pandemic, witnessing police brutality and losses of life and seeing numerous protests and riots throughout our country and the world has left many of us in a state of wondering where do we go from here?
UW-Whitewater’s senior leadership is working to address many of these issues and concerns. We value the tenets of our core values of our institution of diversity, opportunity and social responsibility. In an effort to embody these principles, I would like to invite you to participate in a series of virtual discussions on race, racism, trauma and moving forward.
Each Tuesday afternoon in the month of June beginning on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30 p.m., I will moderate a virtual discussion on these sensitive topics. Each week we will focus on the current events in our country and how we can respond in these difficult times. Please consider joining us in these discussions.
