Leadership Opportunity – Campus Campaign Coordinator for the UW-Whitewater United Way Workplace Giving Campaign
The Chancellor’s Office is pleased to announce a leadership opportunity available to a staff or faculty member who is interested in amplifying their service to our campus community and enhancing their skill set in community engagement. This university-wide responsibility involves coordinating the United Way Workplace Giving Campaign as the Campus Campaign Coordinator.
The Campus Campaign Coordinator is a volunteer who will work alongside the Chancellor’s Office and the Chancellor’s Cabinet representative to the United Way Board of Directors during the 2020-2021 academic year to oversee the institution’s annual United Way Workplace Giving Campaign. The Campaign Coordinator helps to plan and monitor the campaign to ensure success, as well as support local fundraising events and activities throughout the year that strengthen and sustain the university’s commitment to advancing the common good in the communities where our Warhawks learn, live, and work.
As a Campus Campaign Coordinator, you will play a critical part in supporting UW-Whitewater’s efforts and modeling the United Way message to your colleagues. The Campaign Coordinator is the organizer and ambassador for the workplace campaign, and assists with overall support of United Way fundraising events throughout the year. Faculty members can also benefit from this opportunity by fulfilling university-wide or community service requirements, and staff members can gain wider university leadership experience through this role.
The United Way of Jefferson and North Walworth Counties works tirelessly to fulfill their mission of addressing the human service needs in the area by mobilizing community resources and building partnerships. Community partners include Bethel House, Jefferson County Head Start, New Beginnings APFV, Opportunities, Inc., Studio 84, Whitewater LEADS and many others.
