Warhawk Social Covenant
Hello from your governance leaders and Chancellor Watson. We are all looking forward to seeing you return to our campuses very soon!
This fall will be different from any before, and we know that many of you have remaining questions and concerns. As Chancellor Watson has said many times, the health and safety of our community is paramount at UW-Whitewater, and many people have worked very hard this summer to ensure that our campuses are as safe as we can make them.
Now it’s your turn. We are asking each member of the Warhawk community to commit to living in accordance with the Warhawk Social Covenant. This covenant is not a document to sign; instead, it is a personal commitment to yourself, to your fellow Warhawks, and to our community. By taking these practical steps now, even before the semester starts, you are helping to protect fellow Warhawks from COVID-19.
We ask that you take a moment to read the covenant and then pledge to follow the simple guidelines outlined there. It can be found on the Warhawks Return website, and a printer-friendly document version is also attached to this email.
You will see the Warhawk Social Covenant posted in key places around our campuses, and we hope these postings will serve as reminders of what each of us can do to protect ourselves and each other during the pandemic.
If each of us takes these steps daily, UW-Whitewater is safer and stronger. If we all do our part, we can have healthy and meaningful experiences at UW-Whitewater this fall.
