Intermittent Network Delays
While on campus some of you may have experienced a slight network delay at the top of the hour (10:00, 11:00, etc.) You are more likely to notice the problem when using real-time streaming services such as web/video conferencing (Webex, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) or streaming TV/movie services (Netflix, Prime, etc.).
When the issue occurs you may notice a minor connection interruption that auto recovers. In some cases, if the connection does not auto recover after a few seconds, you will need to reconnect to your meeting or streaming service. Usually, such interruptions only last a few seconds to a minute.
Please note that the issue only impacts those who are on the campus network and it does not occur at the top of every hour.
ICIT is actively working with our technology vendor to address the issue. We will follow up with updates on the resolution.
