Free COVID-19 antigen testing now open for all students
Faculty and staff,
We are working to strongly encourage all students to sign up for antigen testing. We originally opened this opportunity to residence hall students, but now all students can (and should) take part.
Antigen testing is FREE to students. It is especially helpful because it identifies COVID-19 in students, even if they do not have symptoms. The test consists of a front nasal swab and is offered at University Health and Counseling Services. Results come back the same day. To help students understand the process, we posted a video of a student getting a test at Ambrose Health Center.
Students can make an appointment at uww.edu/uhcs. Attached to this email are easy directions for scheduling an appointment online that you can share with your students.
We’ve created an additional PowerPoint slide on antigen testing (attached) which you are welcome to use during your in-person classes and meetings. We have added these files to the already existing slides and signage in the online library, as well.
If you have the opportunity, please encourage all students to sign up for antigen testing and to respond to any invitations for testing that they receive from the university. Working together, we can get through this.
