The 2021-2022 FAFSA is available
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) has opened as of Oct. 1, 2020 for the 2021-2022 academic year, which includes fall 2021, spring 2022, and summer 2022.
Students need to complete the FAFSA to be considered for grants, federal loans and employment (Federal Work-Study).
The 2021-2022 FAFSA may be found at fafsa.gov:
- Report 2019 income information, transfer it from the IRS for the most accurate data
- All students (Whitewater and Rock County campuses) should use UW-W's school code of 003926
- File the 2021-2022 FAFSA and submit all documents requested by the Financial Aid Office by the priority date of Jan. 1, 2021. Completing your aid application by that date will ensure consideration for all aid programs, including those with limited funding

Note: If you have not submitted a 2020-2021 FAFSA (for fall 2020, spring 2021 and summer 2021) yet, it is still open at fafsa.gov. Include 2018 income on the 2020-2021 FAFSA.
