Updates from COVID-19 EOC
Please see the following news items from the COVID-19 Emergency Operations Command (EOC):
Testing wait time eliminated for most
In response to concerns about the waiting time for the antigen tests, there is no longer any requirement to wait for your results after your test in the Hamilton Room of the University Center. If you don’t need a copy of your results , you can leave immediately after your test. Those who have a positive test result will be contacted directly. If you are not contacted then your test is negative. Remember, no news is good news!
A vaccine “Proof of Eligibility 1B Status” form is available through the Covid-19 Hotline at 262-472-1362. This form can only be provided to employees who have direct contact with students. Those who are fully remote and not on campus are asked to allow for the prioritization of those who are on campus.
University Health and Counseling Services will distribute to supervisors a request to evaluate interest and eligibility for vaccination on behalf of Walworth County Health. This will assist Walworth County in determining if they should establish an on-campus vaccination location.
The EOC is recommending that we return to our campuses following Spring Break, which is the week of April 19 through April 23, rather than reverting to remote learning. The EOC is also recommending that testing continue on our campuses after Spring Break as well. Before a final decision is made, these recommendations will be discussed with governance leaders.
EOC is asking building managers and custodians to explore additional “common space” seating around our campuses to provide additional safe gathering places.
