Webex Meetings Connectivity Update
Over the past two weeks, some members of the university community have identified and reported issues with Webex Meetings while in a session with an on-campus participant. The most common issue users may have experienced is audio randomly cutting out from those who were speaking.
After investigation, ICIT worked with our Internet provider who today was notified of an issue on the Internet2 network in New York (a networking consortium led by members from the research and education communities) as the probable cause of the issue.
According to Internet2, the issue was fixed on April 15 at 9:18 a.m. ICIT has confirmed that the fix Internet2 put in place successfully corrected the issues with Webex connectivity for on-campus participants. As this was not an issue with Webex itself, other services could also have been impacted by this issue.
