UW-Whitewater plans for summer and fall 2021
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Emergency Operations Center announces “Warhawks Are Back,” a plan for operating practices for the university’s Whitewater and Rock County campuses for summer and fall 2021. The plan, which was approved by Chancellor’s Cabinet, is effective starting Sunday, June 27.
The plan encompasses practices related to COVID-19 testing and vaccinations as well as campus activities and travel. Camps, Conferences, and Bridge Programs occurring over the summer need to abide by UW System policies and expectations related to Youth Protection as communicated earlier this year.
In keeping with our commitment to prioritize the safety of our university community in carrying out our academic mission, the Warhawks Are Back plan reflects recent COVID-19 guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Wisconsin Department of Health Services and local public health agencies, as well as UW System. Please note that COVID-19 is an ongoing global pandemic, and modifications of the practices outlined in the plan should be anticipated.
