Research Apprentice Program
The Research Apprentice Program (RAP) https://www.uww.edu/urp/rap provides staff and faculty who are conducting research with the help they need. This program is meant to engage freshman and sophomore students in research through a mentored apprenticeship.
RAP provides eligible students with an hourly paid research opportunity to assist faculty/staff mentors with their research projects for up to 125 hours in one academic year. To accommodate students’ preferences this year, RAP has been divided into three tiers:
- Mentors can request the help of a student with 60 hours per year; this tier provides up to $150 per RAP student toward eligible research-related expenses and supplies.
- Mentors can request the help of a student with 90 hours per year; this tier provides up to $200 per RAP student toward eligible research-related expenses and supplies.
- Mentors can request the help of a student with 125 hours per year; this tier provides up to $250 per RAP student toward eligible research-related expenses and supplies.
