While University Police have not received any direct reports to the following, we’d like to remind everyone of the following safety reminders:
- Remember to lock your residence hall room door, even when you are only gone for a few moments or you are physically in your room by yourself. Leaving your door unlocked can allow others to enter your room, engage in inappropriate or unwanted physical contact, or allow thefts of property to occur.
- Never take an unknown substance given to you by another individual, and don't leave drinks or food items unattended, and watch out for each other. Consuming a substance or drink from another individual — or one that was unattended — can leave you vulnerable to what are commonly referred to as date rape drugs, which can incapacitate you and lead to unwanted physical contact.
Your safety is our highest priority. If you feel you have been the victim of a crime, contact the University Police at 262-472-4660 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
