Strategic Plan update
UW-Whitewater community,
I’m pleased to announced that Katy Casey, interim chief of institutional research and planning and director of academic assessment, and Matt Winden, department chair and associate professor of economics, will serve as co-leads for the university’s next strategic planning effort.
Over the summer, Dr. Casey and Dr. Winden will develop a plan of action with the goal of completing our new strategic plan by May 2023.
As part of the initial phase of this process, we’ve already collected a number of current strategic plans from departments and units across the university to help us understand the framework and content of current plans. Any units interested are welcome to share their plan(s) with us by emailing a copy to Diane Bahmann at bahmannd@uww.edu.
Once themes emerge, we will unite teams from across the Whitewater and Rock County campuses to develop goals, objectives, metrics and strategies around those themes. Starting this fall, there will be many ways for faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members and other stakeholders to provide direction and help develop the plan as we roll into spring.
A website will be created to keep campus informed of progress, and we will share the link once it is live. Thank you for engaging in this important work that will provide direction for our university in the years ahead.
