Warhawks SOAR starts June 1
Dear campus colleagues,
It’s time to welcome new students into the Warhawk family as the class of 2026 takes part in Warhawks SOAR!
During SOAR — Student Orientation Advising and Registration — new freshmen, transfer students and change-of-campus students will start getting prepared for fall 2022 at one of nine SOAR events in June, with programs continuing throughout July and August.
In a purposeful continuation of our recruitment programs, Warhawks SOAR is the first step in the overall orientation experience that includes Warhawk Welcome and New Student Seminar.
First Year Experience, Academic Advising, and other campus partners utilize Warhawks SOAR to provide students and their guests the opportunity to build greater connections with the university and all campus partners, learn about campus resources, engage in the advising process, and register for classes.
If you are on campus this summer, help us greet these brand-new Warhawks and their guests by:
- Wearing purple and displaying your name tag
- Answering questions and offering a ready smile
- Making sure your offices, classrooms and campus spaces look their very best
Students attending UW-Whitewater at Rock County will receive similar programming this summer as they join the Warhawk family and learn more about the resources available to them on both campuses.
UW-Whitewater will also host three Warhawk Preview Days on June 24, July 22, and August 12, where prospective students and their families will take part in an in-depth program and learn more about the university.
If you know of additional events where prospective students will be visiting, please let us know at news@uww.edu. To see a full list of visit opportunities for both the Whitewater and Rock County campuses, please visit uww.edu/admissions/tour.
