June third-party application updates
ICIT will be issuing a monthly update for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox for most university-owned devices starting Thursday, June 23 at 7 a.m. Please see more information on what is included in the patch.
Details about the process:
- macOS updates will run silently in the background; refer to this article for more information on Mac updates.*
- PC/Windows users can install the update starting June 23 using the self-service option after first closing Chrome and Firefox. This option allows you to decide the day and time you want to install the update before the required update on June 30. If your computer has not been updated by June 30, ICIT will push an update (deferrable once for 24 hours).* For more information, please see this article on Windows computer updates.
- Lab and classroom computers will have an automatic installation starting June 23 at 11 p.m.

*Employees not on the campus network will need to connect to Cisco AnyConnect VPN for a few hours to complete the update.
