Message from Dean of Students Office
Greetings students,
With final exams and graduation just around the corner, we are reminding you to stay safe and make good personal choices to finish the academic year strong. The warm weather and the end of the semester may provide an opportunity to host or participate in large gatherings. Please consider these tips.
- Warhawks take care of each other; look out for one another and stay together.
- If you are traveling, be a safe driver. Check in and make sure someone knows where you are going.
- Be wise about alcohol and other substances. Know what you are consuming and how much, and the possible negative consequences.
- UW-Whitewater continues to offer support and safety services through the CARE team, University Health and Counseling Services, University Police, and City of Whitewater Police.
- Know your responsibility. If you are renting, now is a good time to review your lease requirements, size limitations on gatherings and the areas of the property where you can host.
- If you are hosting guests in University Housing, review the housing policies.
- If you are hosting, be aware of who is at your event. You are responsible for those who attend your event or gathering, including their behavior and safety.
The choices are yours. The consequences are yours as well. If you choose to celebrate spring, please do so safely. Warhawks, let’s finish the semester together strong!
Regards,
Dean of Students Office Team
