Election Day voting
Greetings Warhawks,
Election Day is fast approaching. I encourage each of you to vote on Tuesday, April 2, if you have not done so already.
We know most of you will vote outside of work hours, but sometimes making time to vote is easier said than done.
Therefore, I am asking all supervisors to be amenable to employees who need space in their day to vote, which is also supported by Universities of Wisconsin System policy. Someone may need to arrive a bit late, leave a little early, or take a few extra minutes for lunch. Supervisors, please be as flexible as you are able. Employees, please be proactive in communicating these needs to your supervisor.
Finally, if you have questions about voting, a good place to start is our Warhawks Vote webpage. For those voting in Whitewater, there is also a free shuttle for all Warahwks from the University Center to the Downtown Armory. It will run a continuous loop from Lot 12A to the Armory and back from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One of our shared values as an institution is “Service and social responsibility.” I hope you’ll be able to demonstrate your commitment to this core value by voting on April 2.
