UW-Whitewater welcomes new dining services partner
Beginning today, Monday, May 20, Chartwells assumes the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater dining services contract.
The company won the contract through the state’s competitive procurement process, led by the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Procurement. UW-Whitewater students and staff members engaged in the effort by reviewing and scoring proposals submitted by three companies. The Board of Regents formally approved the contract at its meeting on April 4.
“We’re excited about the new opportunities that this new contract will create to enhance the overall dining experience at both our Whitewater and Rock County campuses,” said Angela Meldonian, executive director of the James R. Connor University Center. “Our focus is on expanded access, exceptional service and quality. Students, employees and visitors can look forward to new concepts, new technology, and refurbished spaces.”
In addition to Warhawk Dining, Chartwells will bring a new and enhanced catering service, Purple Plate Catering. From special events, to conferences, to casual gatherings, Purple Plate Catering will offer customized, expert culinary support to elevate events at UW-Whitewater.
Meldonian extended gratitude to Aladdin for their service over the past seven years.
