Campus Climate Survey results and discussion opportunities
Good day,
In Spring 2024, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater worked with two independent survey platforms to assess campus climate for students, faculty, and staff. Nearly 50% of faculty and 60% of staff participated in the survey, exceeding previous years’ response rates. The Chancellor’s Committee on Inclusive Excellence has reviewed the results in collaboration with campus leadership and shared governance. As we move forward, we invite you to attend campus discussion sessions led by Anneke Lisberg, assistant chancellor for inclusivity and belonging, to review the findings and discuss the data. These sessions provide an opportunity to reflect on campus experiences and perspectives.
Upcoming Campus Discussion Sessions:
- Friday, February 21, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the University Center, Room 259
- Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the University Center, Room 259
Additionally, a committee of UW-Whitewater students, faculty, and staff reviewed the survey data in Fall 2024 and developed an Overview and Summary of the Findings. The HERI presentations on faculty and staff data are also available online for review.
We encourage campus engagement with this important work. During the upcoming State of the University, we will share next steps in continuing these conversations and advancing our collective efforts to foster a more inclusive and welcoming campus environment.
2025 Inclusivity Forum
The university’s annual Inclusivity Forum will be held Wednesday, March 12, in the University Center Ballroom. This year, the forum is hosted by the College of Business and Economics and will feature neurodivergent advocates, educators, and professionals who will share their unique perspectives, lived experiences, and actionable strategies for creating environments that celebrate differences and support everyone. The morning forum from 10:30 a.m. to noon is open to everyone. The afternoon forum from 1 to 2:30 p.m. is a student-focused session.
Thank you for your engagement as we strengthen our commitment to the university's mission, vision, and core values.
