Upcoming renovation and maintenance projects
Dear University Community,
Starting this spring, buildings across the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater will undergo important maintenance and renovations.
Twelve state projects totaling more than $19 million are planned — from general building and utility repairs to upgrades that will enhance the experience on campus. Projects are made possible by funding through the state of Wisconsin as distributed by the University of Wisconsin System and specifically earmarked for maintenance and repairs; program revenue bonding, which are bonds paid through revenues generated from auxiliary operations; or campus funds.

KEY IMPACTS:
- Parking Lot 11 (Williams Center) will be closed.
- The Hyer Hall floor repairs/refinish will affect access to each floor at varying times.
- The two steam and condensate line replacement projects will impact road and pedestrian pathways. Pit 1-3 project will impact the pedestrian mall to the west of Goodhue Hall and Bookstore as it leads to Starin Road. Pit 3-19 project will impact pedestrian travel from Moraine to Benson (behind the Visitor Center). There will be a period of time when traffic traveling on Starin Road will be affected (Starin Road will be closed between Prairie and Warhawk Drive). There will also be a point when Warhawk Drive is closed and traffic will route to Schwager from Prairie St.
- Visitors and Staff will utilize the freight elevator in the Greenhill Center of the Arts as necessary while the passenger elevator is offline.
