Professional Development and Research Dissemination Funds Continue
Learning and academic excellence is a key value at UW-Whitewater. We continue to provide support for our employees in learning, research, scholarship, and creative endeavors through the extension of professional development funds and research dissemination funds for use between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
Professional Development Funds
Professional development funds are available to all employees: $1,000 for faculty, $500 for academic staff, and $250 for university staff. Professional development expenses should be connected to development goals included in the annual review completed with the employee’s supervisor.
Research Dissemination Funds
Separately, all faculty will have $1,000 available to support research dissemination and creative activity over the same time period. The intention of these funds is to support registration and travel to present research at conferences or similar outlets for creative works. Faculty who utilize research dissemination funds are expected to share their efforts with the university community via the Scholarship & Creative Achievements listing.
