Director of the Center for Global Education named
After the completion of a national search, I am pleased to announce that John McGuigan, Ph.D., has been appointed to serve as the director of the Center for Global Education effective June 2, 2025.
Dr. McGuigan has served as faculty in the Department of Literature, Writing, and Film since 2004. Most recently, he has served the university as interim director of the Center for Global Education.
Dr. McGuigan earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.
I would like to thank everyone who provided feedback during the interview process as well as members of the search and screen committee — chaired by Jason Janke, dean of the College of Letters and Sciences — for their extensive work on this search.
