This free conference brings together colleagues from across campus to focus on how we create exceptional learning experiences for our students. Accessibility in Action (AiA) Series: Enhance course accessibility with best practices and hands-on strategies for creating inclusive learning experiences! Can’t make any of the session times? Get caught up with workshop recordings, key takeaways, and resources on the blog!
- Lecture Slides: Create lecture slides that are accessible, including discussion of layout and navigation, font style, color, alt text, descriptive text, and more at 1 p.m. on May 5th.
- Lecture Videos: Take lecture videos to the next level by incorporating accessibility standards by reviewing video and audio quality, best practices, helpful tools, and university resources at 2 p.m. on May 5th.
- Canvas Courses: Ensure your course meets accessibility standards through practice at 1 p.m. on May 7th.
- UDOIT: Learn how to use UDOIT to check your Canvas courses for accessibility issues, with time during the session to check your courses at 2 p.m. on May 7th.
Canvas Workshops: Designed for all skill levels—transform your courses with engaging content and data insights.
- Making Canvas Grades Accurate Before Finals: Prepare your gradebook for a seamless end to the semester at 2 p.m. on May 1st and an encore session at 1 p.m. on May 16th.
- Canvas eGrading: Make submitting final grades a snap by ensuring grades are transferred directly from Canvas to WINS at 2 p.m. on May 8th and an encore session at 10 a.m. on May 12th.
