Message from Chancellor King on Institutional Compliance and Risk
Dear Colleagues,
I want to share an update that reflects our continued efforts to strengthen institutional coordination and deepen collaboration across compliance functions. Since my arrival at UW-Whitewater, I have placed a heightened awareness on our institutional compliance and risk spaces, resulting in the implementation of the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy & Compliance Officer role. Gabby Dralle has been serving in this role for the past year.
Under Gabby’s leadership, this past year our campus participated in the Risk, Compliance, and Audit (RCA) Program. One of the key takeaways from that work was the benefit of a more coordinated and strategic approach to managing compliance and risk. In support of this direction, we have brought Compliance and Risk Management together into a single unit.
This reimagined structure reflects our commitment to proactive and responsive compliance practices that support our educational mission and safeguard institutional integrity. This alignment marks an important step in how we approach compliance and risk on campus, and the work will continue to evolve as we refine our practices to best support the institution.
I want to thank Gabby and all campus stakeholders for continuing to move forward with this important work.
Corey A. King
Chancellor
