We are pleased to announce that the search for UW-Whitewater’s next Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is underway. Our group is energized and excited about helping to recommend an outstanding leader to move our continued commitment to academic excellence and student success forward at the Whitewater and Rock County campuses.

Recruitment efforts
The search and screen committee will begin meeting in October and we will be posting the position this fall semester. The goal is to have the search completed and a successful candidate named by early May 2026.
You can find the Leadership Profile (posted soon), the search committee roster, and other applicable information on the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Search website, which will be updated throughout the process.
Review of applicants and on-site campus visits
The search and screen committee will begin reviewing applications in early February 2026, and will be on track to conduct preliminary interviews in March. Our plan is to have finalists visit UW-Whitewater on both campuses in April. There will be open forums and opportunities to provide feedback on the finalists.
Thank you for your support as we move forward with this search. Look for additional communications throughout the coming months as we keep you informed on the search. We encourage you to engage in the process as you are able.
