Call for Proposals for Seed and Travel Grants
The Undergraduate Research, Innovative, and Creative activities (URiCA) Program is pleased to announce an open call for proposals for Seed and Travel Grants. These funding opportunities foster hands-on research, scholarly inquiry, and creative endeavors across all academic disciplines at UW-Whitewater.
Seed Grants
These grants support student-led research, creative, and innovative projects across any discipline. They can fund a semester-long project or the investigation of a new data set or research/creative methodology. Any student is eligible to apply for these grants, provided they have a project idea and a mentor in the discipline of the research. Collaborative projects are also welcome. For more details on eligibility, required application materials, how to apply, and grant recipient responsibilities, please visit our Seed Grants page. We expect to fund 20-25 projects this academic year. We will accept applications until the funds allotted for this program are used.
Travel Grants
These grants support student travel to present projects at professional conferences or to offset travel costs for study courses with a research component. Any faculty or staff member mentoring students in either of these academic endeavors is eligible to apply. For more details on eligibility, required application materials, how to apply, and grant recipient responsibilities, please visit our Travel Grants page. We expect to fund 4-6 projects this academic year. We will accept applications until the funds allotted for this program are used.
