Whitewater Community-Wide Food Drive
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:
The Whitewater Unified School District has challenged UW-Whitewater to match their goal of collecting 2,520 pounds of food for the Whitewater Food Pantry by participating in the “Whitewater Community-Wide Food Drive.” The District Leadership Team was weighed collectively on a truck scale to establish its goal of 2,520 pounds. The “Whitewater Community-Wide Food Drive” is running now through May 8.
If you wish to donate nonperishable food items, you may do so on campus through one of four ways listed below:
• ACADEMIC AFFAIRS: Nonperishable food collection boxes, sponsored by Academic Affairs will be placed at various locations throughout the campus.
• ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS: Nonperishable food collection boxes, sponsored by Administrative Affairs, will be placed at various locations throughout campus.
• INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS: The UW-Whitewater SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) will be sponsoring a food drive. You may give to a student-athlete or feel free to contact Amy Edmonds or call 472-5646.
• STUDENT AFFAIRS: Nonperishable food items can be donated in collection boxes located in the UHCS (Ambrose Hall), Residence Life, and in the Children’s Center.
All nonperishable food items will be delivered directly to the Whitewater Food Pantry. If you wish to make a cash donation, please make your check out to the “Whitewater Food Pantry,” place it in a plain envelope and deposit it in one of the food collection boxes on campus.
Thank you for considering this worthwhile community cause.
