Tom Rios to retire, Brent Bilodeau named interim vice chancellor for student affairs
After eight years as vice chancellor for student affairs, Dr. Tom Rios will retire on September 1.
“By championing the importance of relationships and a sense of belonging and meaning, Tom has made UW-Whitewater a better place,” said Chancellor Beverly Kopper. “His efforts have helped students develop a deeper sense of themselves and their capacity to make a positive impact in their community. I thank Tom for his outstanding service to UW-Whitewater and wish him well in retirement.”
Kopper announced that Brent Bilodeau has been appointed interim vice chancellor, effective August 15. Bilodeau has served as the assistant vice chancellor for student affairs since August of 2010.
“Brent is a valued member of our Warhawk family who is devoted to students,” Kopper said. “In addition to his leadership in the Division of Student Affairs, he has played a critical role in a number of campus initiatives related to LEAP, student retention, campus diversity and strategic planning. He brings a wide range of experiences to this position as a published researcher, student organization adviser and adjunct faculty member.”
