Foxconn and UW System are among the sponsors of a competition that will award $1 million in prizes over the next three years, with a goal to generate new and unconventional ideas from students, faculty and staff of Wisconsin’s universities, colleges, and technical schools as they work to develop smart, connected communities and systems throughout the state.
The Smart Cities – Smart Futures competition focuses on various themes, such as smart mobility, smart buildings, smart homes, smart energy and smart health, as well as quality of life, efficiency, productivity, and management of resources.
For more information, Foxconn will be on hand from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, in the atrium of Timothy J. Hyland Hall.
