Chancellor Search and Screen Listening Sessions – Wednesday, Feb. 6
Thawed out yet? Need one more cup of hot cocoa or coffee to help?
You’re invited to the second round of listening sessions with the Chancellor Search and Screen Committee. Given the difficult weather conditions last week, we decided to offer another opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and the community to provide input in the chancellor prospectus, which is a job announcement that provides additional information about the university and its surrounding community to draw a broader group of candidates.
We’re holding three listening sessions on Wednesday, Feb. 6:
12:30-1:30 p.m. All-campus listening session at UW-Whitewater at Rock County
Hyatt Smith 120, 2909 Kellogg Ave., Janesville
3:30-5 p.m. All-campus listening session at UW-Whitewater
Room 259, James R. Connor University Center, 228 Wyman Mall, Whitewater
5:30-7 p.m. Community listening session
Innovation Center Atrium at Whitewater University Technology Park, 1221 Innovation Drive, Whitewater
If the weather cooperates, at least half of the Regents on the Search and Screen Committee will be in attendance, and the setting will be relatively informal.
In each session, we’re looking for feedback on:
What key characteristics are we looking for in a candidate? Which characteristics are most important?
What are the key challenges that our campus faces that our new chancellor will help address?
What strengths of our campus should the prospective candidate know about?
