Campus Address Re-Alignment Project
Campus Colleagues,
To improve emergency response and wayfinding at UW-Whitewater, and to better align the address grid with the city of Whitewater, our campus is implementing address changes and updates to individual buildings and locations.
Information on the project and the list of new/updated addresses can be found here: http://www.uww.edu/adminaffairs/fpm/campus-planning/current-projects
For all mailing and business-related purposes:
The university’s mailing address is still 800 W. Main Street. Please continue to use this address consistently on all communications.
For emergency and wayfinding purposes:
Efforts should be made by departments and divisions to update their websites, social media accounts, directories and any other materials where building addresses are used for wayfinding/directional purposes. Campus is working to update addresses on online platforms, including Google Maps. The goal for full implementation is Dec. 31, 2019.
The address project has resulted in a few additional changes:
- The drive from Prairie Street to the entrance to the University Center loading dock area has been designated as a new university street – Hamilton Green Way. Several facilities have addresses on this new street, such as McGraw Hall and the University Center.
- Andersen Library building will now be referred to as Andersen Hall with a two-letter designation of AN. The library itself will remain Harold Andersen Library located within Andersen Hall.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. We appreciate your understanding and continued assistance in increasing the level of safety and convenience on our campus.
Sincerely,
Chief Matt Kiederlen
