COVID-19 Testing Plan for Spring Semester
Dear Warhawks,
On Jan. 19 we will return to our campuses to begin classes for the Spring Semester. Our resolve to keep campus as safe as possible remains strong and — in alignment with the UW System’s requirements — we will enhance our COVID-19 testing efforts and capabilities.
As was announced in mid-December, UW-Whitewater will follow in the System’s requirement that we test all students who live in the residence halls once a week. All off-campus students, faculty and staff who come to campus will be tested once every two weeks.
We ask our students, faculty and staff to comply with these requirements, which are in alignment with the Warhawk Social Covenant.
Free nasal swab testing at the UW-Whitewater main campus will begin on Monday, Jan. 11 and will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Hamilton Room of the University Center. Testing will continue through April 16. Free parking for those getting testing will be available in Lot 12 on North Prairie Street.
Students, faculty and staff will be required to have an appointment for testing. Here is the link to schedule an appointment: https://weberhealthlogisticsuwwhitewater.schedulista.com/
All participants will also be required to bring their HawkCard, which will be swiped for record keeping purposes.
Plans are being made for testing at the UW-Whitewater at Rock County campus and will be announced as soon as possible.
Again, everyone who meets the testing criteria as listed above is highly encouraged to participate as part of our continued efforts to keep ourselves and others safe. As Warhawks, we pride ourselves on taking care of one another and this is an easy way for you to help ensure your personal safety along with those in our campus communities and beyond.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dwight C. Watson
