Dear Faculty,
Knowledge dissemination is a critical component of what we do as faculty at UW-Whitewater. A key part of that process is presenting our research and creative works to a wider audience for critical feedback.
I am pleased to announce a new program for 2021-2022 to support our mission to disseminate the knowledge and understanding generated through research, scholarship and creative work at UW-Whitewater. Between September 1, 2021, and August 31, 2022, each faculty member will have available to them $1000 to support dissemination of research and creative activity. This fully-funded resource is available for all faculty, regardless of probationary status. They are intended to support registration and travel to present research at conferences or similar outlets for creative works. Your college’s dean will have more information about how to access these funds.
This more robust support is in lieu of the professional development program approved in Spring 2021 through the BOC/roadmap process that made limited funds available to assistant professors.
As our UWW mission statement clearly articulates, we are driven by the pursuit of knowledge, powered by a spirit of innovation, and focused on transforming lives.
