The Research Apprentice Program (RAP) applications are open!
Research occurs across all majors and fields. The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) office invites you to apply to RAP via our website. If you are a freshman, a sophomore, or a transfer student with less than 72 credits, you qualify!
The application can be found on our page https://www.uww.edu/urp/rap
Please watch this short video for more information: https://youtu.be/Ts84uwQDxvA
The program is designed as an introduction to research work — to help you figure out if research is a passion of yours — or simply want to learn more about how to find answers to questions. Your research experience may vary depending on what you like to do. You may spend time interviewing people, analyzing data, creating art, working in a lab, brainstorming with faculty and peers, creating a program/game, building a prototype, or reviewing literature in your field. All students are encouraged to apply.
And did we mention:
- you get paid hourly
- you can request to work 60, 90, or 125 hours depending on your needs and availability over the course of the academic year
- the program is flexible and fits easily into your academic schedule
- you can build your resume and skills
- you can explore research and creative interests
If you have any questions about RAP, please email us at rap@uww.edu. We look forward to receiving your application!
