Updated CDC COVID-19 vaccination/booster recommendations
The Center for Disease Control has issued updated guidance for COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots. Here are the new recommendations for second booster doses:
- A Pfizer or Moderna booster for people 50 years old and older who had their first booster more that 4 months ago
- A Pfizer booster for people 12-17 years old who have an immunocompromised condition and had their first booster more than 4 months ago
- A Pfizer or Moderna booster for people 18 years old or older who have an immunocompromised condition and had their first booster more than 4 months ago
- A Pfizer or Moderna booster for those 18 to 49 years old who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for both their primary and booster doses; are not immunocompromised; and received their booster more than 4 months ago

Upcoming COVID-19 vaccination and booster clinic
The Walworth County Department of Health will hold the following clinic in Whitewater. Remember to bring your vaccine card or Wisconsin Immunization Record printout. The following vaccines will be offered:
- Pfizer first and second doses (12 and older)
- Moderna first and second doses (18 and older)
- Booster vaccines (12 and older)

No appointment is needed, and free adjacent parking is available.
