Chancellor Search: December Update
UW-Whitewater Community,
Thank you for engaging in the chancellor finalist candidates’ campus visits over the last two weeks. Our university community showed up in a big way for this important work.
Now that the university visits have concluded, we want to provide you with an update regarding the remaining chancellor search process. Below is the anticipated timeline for the upcoming steps in the search process.
Anticipated Timeline
- Week of Dec. 26: Summary of the university visit feedback for all five finalist candidates reported to the UW System President and the Special Regent Committee
- Week of Jan. 9: Special Regent Committee and UW System President conduct interviews with the finalist candidates and identify the successful candidate to recommend to the full Board of Regents
- Week of Jan. 16 or 23: Board of Regents approves appointment in a special board meeting
- Chancellor designate is announced following appointment approval
